The rules and regulations for public safety radio coverage are different for every jurisdiction. No two systems are alike, and coincidentally, no two distributed antenna systems are exactly alike either. A DAS Link engineer is needed to analyze and decipher the exact specifications needed for your project to satisfy compliance requirements.
Our DAS Link engineers are experts in the field of distributed antenna systems, serving as consultants on municipalities and ordinances for the authorities having jurisdiction on first responder radio needs. Our engineers are also teachers, educating fire personal and building inspectors on compliance testing for distributed antenna systems.
The International Fire Code (IFC) requires that any person commissioning a distributed antenna system hold a FCC General Radio Operators License, and one of the following qualifications in order to legally install the system to meet the jurisdiction* and cell carrier requirements:
- NABER (National Association of Business and Education Radio
- PCIA (Personal Communications Industry Association)
- ETA (Electronic Technicians International)
- Equipment Manufacturers' Certification
As a DAS Link partner, you will be provided an on-site, licensed engineer who will assume all responsibility for compliance, ensuring the system works at the time your system is commissioned by the authority having jurisdiction.
*Requirements differ by jurisdiction.
